Find Your Lucky Color: Part I

I was never one for Feng Shui. However, some recent events lead me to believe that there are validity to Feng Shui theories.

I tracked my "luck" for quite a few years now. As I think back, there were 10 lucky years, and less than 10 unlucky years. At this time, I hope I'm climbing out of the unlucky years.

During the lucky period of my life, everything came very, very easily - almost effortless. I didn't have to do much to get what I've wanted. The unlucky time was the opposite - no matter how much I've worked, how many different ways I've tried, how many "positive" programs I've instilled in my mind, things were just stuck.

All of this were not brought out, until one day, my mother and I were talking, and she told me she watched a TV show where Feng Shui consultants on the show said that people who were born in spring, should stay away from woodsy color such as green. Rather, they should wear bright colors like red. I was very skeptical at first. But then, slowly, memories of my luckiest years came into my mind, and my bedroom at the time was decorated in yellow with touches of brown. After I moved, my bedroom was peach with touches of very light green.

I moved again. This time I had my room in mostly green. This was when the bad times began. I thought: maybe the color system does work. So I researched some more on colors.

I came across a system called Five Elements. The theory points out that each of us are a balance of 5 elements: metal, wood, water, fire and earth. Each of us have some sort of imbalance, more of one element than another. An imbalance may cause obstacles in our lives, such as illness, lack of money, career not moving ahead, etc. In order to balance our elements, we may surround ourselves with representatives of the element that we lack most.

In the next few days, I found my combination of elements, and sure enough, my bedroom was decorated in the worst colors for my combination! So new draperies and bedspread were purchased. Immediately, my body felt as more energized. Then I cleared out my space - moving my business items out of the room into another room, and re-arranged what was left in my bedroom. Now, I feel better than before - more energized, more focused. More business suddenly came in too! A valuable item that I've purchased 2 months ago arrived on the day when everything was all set up correctly. I can see things better (better eyesight).

Yes, I am a believer of the system now. Next time, I will let you know how you can find your combination too!
