Being a woman can be hard sometimes. We have to not only wear good clothes to impress, but also use make up to add color to our faces. Not to mention some have to pluck or wax or shave hair from certain places of the body because hair there can only exist for men, not women. How much more do we need to do before we feel beautiful?
We put on eyeshadows...just to add some interesting colors to make our eyes look nicer. But heck - the shadows crease after a while! So companies came up with different formulas of eyeshadow primers. The idea is to apply the primer before applying the eyeshadow, to make the color stay true, and to make the shadow crease free. So far, I have only read reviews of one product in the market that actually does this job perfectly: Urban Decay Primer Potion.
With excitement, I ran to a nearby Sephora to buy this product. However, as I was home admiring the packaging, I felt impelled to look at the ingredients - what was in it that made the colors stay and made the shadows creaseless? There was a bunch of chemicals' names. One name popped out particular - Eicosene Copolymer. It is considered carcinogenic. I returned the product the next day.
There is also talc, and a bunch of parabens - all nasty stuff.
I'd rather have my shadow creased than putting nasty carcinogens on my eyelids!
