I'm sure many people have remembered the event that happened 5 years ago since yesterday. Many people cannot help feeling sad, grieve, and possibly anger. Put yourself in the shoes of those who died so suddenly without warning - so much left undone, no last words to loved ones. And the trauma felt by those whose loved ones have suddenly gone. No words can describe the grieve.
Yet, what are we focusing on each day? Most who are in business focus on competition - how to beat others in the game. How to earn more money. How to buy more. How to satisfy the desire to own more things - maybe eat more, wear more, whatever the desire is. People mostly focus on material living. In the end, we all have to face death - we just don't know when - and leave this place of material living.
How would you live your life if you were to keep death in your mind at all times? Afterall, we don't know what hour is our time. Would you chase after the illusive future? Would you still carry the burden of the past - be they happy or sad memories? Or will you finally be present and enjoy the "now"? ![]()
I find this book helpful in dealing with the death and dying. Most importantly, it also deals with everyday life. My image of the world changed because of the seed sown from this book. Maybe it will help you too - if you are looking for some.
