Packing Light
When I packed for my NYC trip for the weekend, I could only think of one thing: pack light. I tend to get sore shoulders and sore back quickly if I am to carry heavy bags.

So, what did I pack for a trip in which the bus leaves Toronto, Canada at night on a Friday, and returns to Toronto from NYC on a Monday morning? Here is my list:

1. Dress, t-shirt, undergarment, 1 pair of socks, 1 sweatshirt
2. Lipstick, moiturizer, sunscreen, soap, 1 towel
3. Passport, ID, etc
4. Medication for emergencies

All these fit into my small Tatonka backpack. (picture from www.tatonka.com).

The tank dress I packed allowed my body to withstand the hot weather, and the t-shirt I brought could be used to put over the dress - in case it gets a tiny bit cold. In NYC, I visited friends and went to a Buddhist temple, as well as walked around the city.

My experience with clothing and many other things is: if I own too much, I get too many choices and it is difficult to make decisions on what to use; it becomes a burden rather than a job to own things. But if I own enough, I am more efficient, and I enjoy life more rather than being obsessed about my belongings.
